Engineering Services

Hydraclean Ltd established its engineering division in the mid 90’s and rapidly became a fundamental branch of our organisation. We pride ourselves on competitive prices and great service delivery. Our fully qualified engineers offer the following below services:

Water Tanks

Here at Hydraclean we have a vast amount of experience in the removal, replacement and installation of cold water storage tanks. We have worked on tanks form 50 litres in capacity all the way through to 90,000 litres as shown in the picture. We can offer the following repairs:

  • Insect screens to overflow to prevent ingress to the tank.
  • Insulation to reduce the effects of heat gain.
  • Lid vents to ensure that air circulates above the water storage to reduce organic growth.
  • Float valves to improve the turnover of water in tanks that may be oversized.

These remedial measures help reduce the risk of Legionella growth by minimising the nutrients available to the bacteria and help to keep the cold water storage below 20 ℃. In some poorly designed tanks, it may also be necessary to improve the cross flow of water across the unit and therefore the quality of water in the tank by

  • Fitting a float valves
  • Moving the inlet opposite the outlet
  • Fitting a sparge pipe to outlet inside the tank

Where tanks are in such poor condition that they cannot be upgraded or it may be deemed to costly to upgrade. A replacement tank is more cost effective. We always look to find the most suitable replacements for our clients by taking into consideration aspects such as location, consumption and access.

Hot and Cold Main's Conversion's

Water mains conversions where viable offer fantastic solutions to things such as energy efficiency, storage and space problems as well as reducing the risk of stagnation. Effectively a mains conversion is where we would remove the cold water storage tank and replace with a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) for the cold services and either adapt or replace the hot water storage vessel to an unvented system for the hot services. This can generally be achieved when reasonable pressure is available on site.

Hot Water Storage Systems

Hydraclean Ltd offers a full range of point of use heaters, direct and indirect unvented mains fed heaters. Should you require assistance achieving good thermal control, installation of new heater or you simply need a replacement water heater we have the expertise to achieve all this at a great value price.

Water Booster Sets

Hydraclean Ltd is now proud to provide a full and high quality servicing, install and repair to all types of water booster sets. We have extensive knowledge of boosted water technology and controls, single or multi pump including PLC and variable speed drives. By analysing fault diagnosis we are able to problem solve any situation via innovative solutions. For a competitive quotation regarding any boosted water supply queries please contact us on 0161 430 5100 or alternatively via our email sales@hydraclean.co.uk

RPZ Valves

RPZ (reduced pressure zone) valves are used for the prevention of backflow in to the water supply. The valve consists of a differential pressure relief valve, between two independent check valves. The reduced pressure is guaranteed by a differential pressure relief valve, which automatically relieves excess pressure in the chamber by discharging to a drain. What this essentially means is that RPZ valves can be used to protect up to fluid category 4. Our accredited testers can provide both installation and servicing of RPZ’s.

TMV'S

Hydraclean Ltd is now proud to provide a full and high quality servicing, install and repair to all types of water booster sets. Water Softeners

Water Softeners can be designed and installed to meet local water conditions and site needs by experienced engineering staff and followed up with regular servicing to ensure that the system remains effective.

Pressurisation Units

Hydraclean Ltd offers the full install and servicing on Pressurisation Units for maintaining pressure in sealed heating or chilled systems. A common alternative that is largely popular with our clients is the install of a Mikrofill Unit as it is a more efficient unit. This Unique Electronic Filling Device (EFD) is a fully automatic, wall mounted sealed system filling unit for domestic and commercial heating and cooling systems.

Chemical Dosing Equipment

If you are manually dosing your cooling tower and a health and safety inspector calls, the inspector may strongly advise or insist that the regime is changed to an automatic system, since the treatment chemicals are often used on a daily basis and people forget when they are busy. When staff are absent, cover is not always guaranteed and cooling towers can therefore be left without effective treatment

All equipment purchased is installed and commissioned by Hydraclean Engineers.

Hydraclean work with a number of suppliers to provide a comprehensive range of dosing equipment for a wide range of treatment needs. If you are not happy with your existing supplier or require a competitive quote, enter your details in the form to your right and we’ll arrange for a trained advisor to carry out a free survey and quote for the water treatment needs of your system.

General Plumbing Work

If you are getting reports from site managers and members of staff about things such as faulty taps leaking pipes and failing water heaters then please don’t hesitate to contact us. Not only is Hydraclean experts in domestic and commercial plumbing but we also have decades of experience in preventing the risk of legionella, therefore we are always looking at the most cost effective solutions for our clients whilst keeping them compliant with the various legislation that surrounds it.

Many Legionella Risk Assessments carried out raise design flaws in hot and cold water systems. It is not only the ethos of Hydraclean to engineer these problems out of the system but is also shadowed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Heatlh (COSHH). deadlegs and little used outlets should be cut back to the source branch and ideally removed completely.

If you have had a risk assessment and want a quote for the remedial works then please don’t hesitate to contact us at sales@hydraclean.co.uk or speak to one of our friendly customer service advisors on 0161 430 5100, and we will get one of our engineers out to you free of charge.
